Rural youth in Lowungu, Bejen Sub-district, Temanggung Regency, have strong entrepreneurial interest but face limited financial literacy and entrepreneurial capacity. This community service program aimed to improve financial literacy and cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit by utilizing local potential to support a village-based smart economy. The program combined experiential learning, participatory rural appraisal, and business coaching through two sessions conducted on 2 and 15 July 2026, involving 29 and 32 participants. The materials covered four fundamental financial habits, cost of goods sold (COGS) calculation, entrepreneurship, Business Model Canvas (BMC) development, and digital marketing strategies. Program effectiveness was assessed through financial-literacy pre-tests and post-tests, participants’ ability to calculate COGS, and the number of completed BMCs. The results showed that the average financial-literacy score increased from 5.97 to 6.72 on a 0–7 scale, representing a 12.7% increase from baseline. Furthermore, 20 participants successfully calculated their product COGS, while 24 BMCs were completed. One coffee business, Kembar Coffee, was also assisted in establishing marketplace and social-media accounts. The program demonstrates that a practice-based approach can effectively strengthen financial record-keeping and business planning among rural youth. However, improving the effectiveness of business digitalization remains an important challenge.
