Abstract

The increasingly dynamic change in the work environment has prompted organizations to pay attention to the balance between work life and employees' personal lives. The service industry is a sector that relies heavily on the quality of human resources so that employee performance is the main factor in determining the success of the organization. High job demands, service pressure to customers, and the use of digital technology that allows work to be done indefinitely often disrupt the work-life balance of employees. This study aims to analyze the relationship between Work-Life Balance and employee performance in the service industry. The research method used is a quantitative approach with a survey design. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires to service sector employees and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results of the study show that Work-Life Balance has a positive and significant relationship with employee performance. Employees who are able to balance the demands of work and personal life tend to have higher levels of productivity, work quality, and commitment than employees who experience work-family conflicts. These findings indicate that organizational policies that support work-life balance can be an important strategy in improving employee performance. This research contributes to the development of human resource management, especially in the formulation of work policies that are more flexible and oriented towards employee welfare.
