Implementasi Teologi Stewardship dalam Rehabilitasi Hutan Lindung Danggala melalui Gerakan Penanaman Pohon Bersama Jemaat Gereja Toraja Penanian

Abstract

The Danggala Protected Forest plays an important role in maintaining ecosystem balance, preserving biodiversity, regulating water resources, and supporting environmental sustainability for surrounding communities. However, conservation efforts in this area continue to encounter various challenges and require active participation from local communities, as well as collaboration with social and religious institutions. The Toraja Church of Penanian has significant potential to become a strategic partner in strengthening ecological awareness among its congregation through the implementation of theological stewardship values, which emphasize human responsibility as caretakers of God’s creation. This Community Service Program aims to improve the congregation’s knowledge, awareness, and responsibility toward forest conservation through educational activities, environmental discussions, and tree-planting initiatives in the Danggala Protected Forest area. The program is expected to encourage greater community involvement in protecting forest ecosystems and strengthen the connection between religious teachings and ecological practices. Through this initiative, the congregation is encouraged to develop sustainable environmental behaviors and actively contribute to preserving natural resources for present and future generations.
