Abstract

This activity aims to strengthen the role of village community movements in managing the natural environment to foster economic sustainability. Furthermore, it seeks to support these community movements in promoting social entrepreneurship alongside environmental conservation. The project partners are communities with a history of experiencing natural disasters, specifically flash floods and landslides. The region's disaster-prone nature, combined with its abundant natural resources, presents an opportunity to achieve village-level economic sustainability. A problem-solving approach is employed based on a three-dimensional sustainable economy framework—encompassing social, economic, and environmental aspects. The initiative fosters understanding and raises environmental awareness. Environmental preservation efforts serving as disaster mitigation include reforesting degraded land at disaster hotspots, clearing accumulated waste from rivers, and implementing waste management using "rocket stove" technology. It also strengthens village-level social entrepreneurship rooted in ecological stewardship, thereby fostering a circular economy. These efforts aim to generate economic value, enhance social awareness, and ensure long-term ecosystem protection.
